GEICO Motorcycle Campaign
I was selected to produce the first two motorcycle campaigns for GEICO MOTORCYCLE. We located a spectacular location on Skyline Drive, enlisted the services of an awesome motorcycle group from Staunton, Virginia, engaged the assistance of the US Park Service and a professional cast and crew. The resulting spot was a huge success. GEICO loved it and motorcycle insurance sales soared.
First live broadcast from Everest Base Camp
On a Friday afternoon in late April of 2000 my good friend and colleague Jim Bruton called and asked if I was available to leave for an expedition to Mount Everest in Nepal. Without hesitation my only question was, "When do we leave?" We prepared for a host of contingencies with only two days to pack and prepare. Our crew would be documenting the Canadian climbing team's summit of Mount Everest and conducting live broadcasts of the two week journey to Base Camp.
Our live broadcast from Mount Everest Base Camp was the first of its kind, streaming a live broadcast back to RDS in Montreal every evening. A spectacular accomplishment from over 18,000 feet above sea level.
